About me

Hi, welcome to my blog! I’m Joanne Hanson and honestly, this is the first blog post I’ve ever written (despite working in Marketing Communications for over 10 years!)

So far, all I know is I’m crazy about all things interior design, and I’ve been told I have a good eye for it, but I’ll let you make your mind up about that!

I wanted to share my ideas and tips to help you bring a bit of country, homely style to your living spaces, and not spend a fortune doing it.

I’ve had the fortune of renovating a number of houses and each one has been a challenge in a different way. From my first small terraced house in Leicestershire UK which dated back to the 1860’s, to my current 1969 cabin style home in North Oaks, Minnesota, USA. Each has had its unique challenges but all had one thing in common – a shoestring budget.

I believe strongly that you don’t need deep pockets to furnish your home and make it feel special. You just need a bit of care, patience, style and a knack for bargain hunting to make it look a million Dollars (or Pounds)!

You’ll get to know me better throughout each of my blog posts, and learn how I spend most of my weekends (doing DIY) And I hope that I can help each one of you, even in some small way, to make your home feel a little bit more homely.

If you do enjoy reading my blog all I ask of you is that you let others know by sharing or stay in touch by following my blog. I’d also love to hear from you, so please feel free to join in on the conversation by commenting below each of my blog posts.

Thanks for reading, until next time.

Jo
